Anyone Know?

Does anyone know what kind of rattle can paint would match the original 60-61 interior charcoal dash? I've searched the forum and the dupont 174 isn't even close. For the silver interior, the krylon metallic nickel is pretty much spot on though.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Anyone Know?

my interior is much darker than the nickel in my 61. for my dash i am going with the dark gray hammer paint. the rest of the inside of the cab and doors will be a med light gray. here's a pic of my door and steering wheel and column.

Re: Anyone Know?

Find the color code your truck then go to tpcglobal.com or carpaintonline.com. You can look up the color code and they can mix up the color in a spray bomb for you.

Wow, that looks great! I want to stay original as possible with the darker charcoal but am having a hard time finding a code or a match.

Re: Anyone Know?

I have a real nice 61 interior door panel in the dark silver/grey. I can try and get a better pic for you if needed. Was a low mileage truck w/very little use. So the interior color looks great.

Re: Anyone Know?

HERE is a color chart for 59 to 61, the paint codes can be crossed over from dietzler to current day PPG paints. PPG local stores can make up spray cansfor you also.

Good info for exterior but I wanted interior charcoal Dash! Found a matte black that is a little dark but might look really good. Would still like to find out the original dash charcoal color!
