62 With Novak Hyd Clutch Header Question.

I know this appears to be just another header question, but I have searched the forum high and low for someone running a 350 with the Novak hydraulic clutch and headers.

Anyone out there?

If not, do any of you 60-62 guys have any suggestions for a good set of headers that will clear pretty well?

Thanks

Re: 62 With Novak Hyd Clutch Header Question.

Check out Markeb01....he has a sbc w/novak kit. Shouldn't be a clearance issue as the novak conversion sits as high as the clutch fork. Have mocked mine up on the BBC and no clearance issues there either. Mark has a build thread in the "60-66 thread " section. You should be able to reach him there or PM for a response.

Re: 62 With Novak Hyd Clutch Header Question.

Mark is running the rams horn exhaust manifolds with his Novak setup, any of the block hugger type headers that come out close to the same should fit also.

Re: 62 With Novak Hyd Clutch Header Question.

Yes I didn't respond as I'm running stock ram manifolds. One thing I can offer is how nice the Novak setup works. I've had mine in place since 2005 and never a bit of trouble or maintenance required.

Re: 62 With Novak Hyd Clutch Header Question.

As I said in our last email the Hedman #69260 will definitely fit with the hydraulic conversion, but depending on your engine, those may not be the best from a performance standpoint. A better performing header would be the Hedman #69090, but I just can't tell from pictures if they will clear the slave cylinder. I do have a set of the 69090's that I can bolt up to an engine and see if I can get a couple measurements to help to determine fitment.
