I have a 77 c10 with 1.25" rotors and am looking for a set of drop spindles.

Mt friend has some but they are for 1" rotors. what all would I need to take off his truck to use those spindles on mine? Thank you

You will need the rotors, calipers, and bearings. Before I decided on my C20 I was thinking of converting a C10 to 4x4.75 to use common car wheels. I think the rotor was from a 1LE Camaro that worked with the standard truck bearings.

Why go through all that for less braking? Just buy a set of new drop spindles (1.25" type) and be done with it. Better yet, just cut the coils and don't buy anything.

I already have 2" drop coils so no cutty cutty here lol

so then if i just take his whole loaded spindles I should be fine, including the caliper. it is all still together

Is there any real braking difference between the two?

Big braking difference once you start to get the brakes (rotors) hot. The much thicker 1.25" will outlast the thinner one and not fade

Put 1" rotors on a 1ton swap. Been together for a year.

Good to know. My next step is upgrade the brakes and add drop spindles.

Yea, and guys put 13" spokes on duallys, doesn't make it right

A 1 ton with light duty brakes will be fine if you never use it as a 1 ton.

1" rotor is just fine.

mine is a show truck/weekend toy so wont be used as a truck or abused so I think the 1" should do me just fine
