83 C10 upper/lower control arm rebuild

I was wondering if I missed it any where after searching, if there was a write up on how remove and replace bushings and shafts in upper and lower control arms in a 83 C10? I have arms off truck and ball joints removed. I also have use of press, torches etc. So can anyone help me out on how to rebuild them now? Thanks in advance Brandon

Re: 83 C10 upper/lower control arm rebuild

What I did was take a drill bit and drill out the rubber around the bushings until they were free'd up. As far as putting them back together, I used a ball joint press kit. I figured out how to do it off of youtube. Just search control arm bushing replacement and you'll find what I'm talking about. If you need help in finding the video, I'll be glad to help you find it.

i tried torch an drilling them out. but had better luck freezing an chippin/drilling pieces out. i used a can of compressed air upside down so the cold liquid would come out. be sure to wear thick gloves as you can get frostbite.
