cab rust issues
How difficult is this repair and what would a professional charge?
This is on a pretty nice long bed 1967. Needs rockers and this issue. Guy wants $ 4500.00 |

Re: cab rust issues
I'm gonna want somewhere around $2000 to $2500 and that may vary depending on what you find when you take down the front to do the rockers. [to do the rockers the front fenders need to come off as does the doors. Most likely if you see that it needs outers it needs inners and probably floor pieces and pillars front and rear along with cab supports. yes it is like an onion it is a big layered mess. So with that in mind I'd say pass on the truck at that money unless there is some attachment to it and if there is ,get over it. Jim

Re: cab rust issues
I wouldn't even repair that, it's probably shot around the top of the windshield too. If that's the case where you cut a rust free top off another cab and weld it on, or find another cab. That's a lot of work to fix all that damage.
You're down in FL, I know you're near the coast, but there have to be some better salt free trucks down there!
