Project HBC - 1972 Chevy K20 LWB
Photos of my truck I inherited, from my father after he died. My brother blew the engine about a decade ago, I just got done paying for the rebuilding the engine, he owes me big time.

Re: Project HBC - 1972 Chevy K20 LWB
My plan is to do a frame off restoration. Repair any other damage that my brother did, the "dent" above the rear driver wheel, along with whatever else shows up. I will however be upgrading as much as I can in order to make it as my friends would say a "daily drivable".
Even though I just had the engine restored, looking to replace the carburetor with the Edelbrock E-Street EFI system. Replacing mechanical fan with dual electrical fans, and installing a cold air intake. Finally, going to replace the stock exhaust with dual exhaust. Looking to gain as much MPG as I can, as it will be primarily a daily driver with the occasional cargo hauling, but no towing. Any other suggestions on how to improve MPG? Planning on upgrading the wiring, install LED lights all around and HID headlights. Looking to upgrade the bench seat with help from OregonAero. Replace the stock AM radio & speaker with a custom audio AM/FM/MP3 radio and not exactly sure which speaker to replace it with yet, taking any suggestion. I would like to improve the ride, without sacrificing the capability of hauling 3/4 ton, the truck is basically stock. I would also like to upgrade the brakes, but am having difficult time find rear disc brakes to replace the stock drums, any suggestions? I will be repainting the truck the same factor color. I am open to any other suggestions or questions for the truck that you may have. |
