different wiper blades

I recently had to get some new wiper arms for my 67. The new ones, from ECE, have more of a bend at the tip that require the blades to be 4 or 5 inches up the windshield to be horizontal.
The ones I replaced allowed the blades to rest at the bottom of the windshield.
Think the ECE ones are original, so wondering if GM changed arms between 67-72 or are guys getting them from other cars of the era (Camaro)?
