I know I know......
Does anybody know if in 67 all the camaros had single leafs or was it just the 6 cyl cars?
I know its not really a truck question, the cumilative knowledge around here is amazing. I have found a nice one and may buy it to build up beside the 67 panel.

I don't have an answer, nor do I have a Camaro, but I'd park a 67-69 Camaro right next to my 1/2 ton any day of the week!

buddy of mine had a 67 firebird that was original sprint 6 cyl had fiberglass mono-leafs in back, put in a pont 350 ram air IV that thing would hook up without wheel hop. never did break a spring amazingly. I always swore to him it would snap one "one of these days" hes still got it and it still a baddd car.

In 67 they all had single leaf. Higher horsepower models had a passenger side traction bar. Higher horsepower V8's got multi-leaf in 68-69 cars. Still got my books right here.
I had a 68 RS/SS 396 in high school, wrong car to give a sixteen year old kid. ![]()

i think that the fiberglass springs were aftermarket corner burner stuff, the sprint ohc six was a tad lighter than a pontiac v-8 and with fewer cubes. i think that combo was a choice scca class racer, i may be wrong there.
any way, my brother had a 68 sprint also 250 overhead cam, quadrajet, posi and gobs of power, he out ran a lot of hopped up v-8's and left them scratching their heads over it. but no fiberglass springs. i did see a vette with a fiberglass spring once, the owner called it a slalom spring. he ran over a curb and it broke, leting the left rear quarter down ontop of an n-50-15. cracked the quarter up to the roof. tony
