Trim Question

Looking at all the trucks on this site made me wonder about the back of cab trim that seems to have never been installed on my two tone Silverado. Is there a delete code? No evidence there was ever trim from the factory. Was this an additional item that needed to be ordered? Thought all Silverado optioned trucks came with this. Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about around the back window then yes there is a "Delete RR/Wind MLDG" (option code ZK5) Mine has that. Just means there is no fake chrome accent around the window gaskets exterior.

Re: Trim Question

Truck wears its original paint. The trim I'm asking about is below the rear window and wraps around the corner of the cab.

Re: Trim Question

Which two tone paint scheme does your truck have?

GM offered several different two tone paint schemes. I believe the molding around the back of the cab was only included with paint schemes where there was a color transition in that area.

What model year is your truck?

Go to the GM Heritage Center archive and pull up the generic info packet for your model year. It will show all the available paint schemes and the associated trim.

Re: Trim Question

Found my answer. Reading in the GM website Keith recommended, two tone paint code that is on my truck, that molding is eliminated. Thanks to all respondents. Next time I have a question I should look there first.

Re: Trim Question

I had a solid color '84 Silverado that came with the trim.
