Bad Penny 89 Short bed
Thought I'd throw a picture or two on here. My dad and I are currently gathering parts for a 67 SWB 350/5speed and I came over here to see what folks were working on. Started w a wrecked $600 non running truck. Flipped the rear axle, 2.5 spindles and 1 coil cut off, new interior and got it running. First thing I have ever painted myself. Don't look too close.
P.S. Needed a new windshield, so yes, I know it has overspray. Kid in the neighborhood let me know the same thing. Truck started out as a lake truck to get gas for jet ski, go to the dump etc. My mom, now 73, liked it so much she wanted it. She says she gets lots of thumbs up and can't believe a 73 yr old lady rolls out of the "low rider" as they call it. Priceless to me. Thanks for looking. |

Thanks. Funny story on the paint. I have a buddy who paints and he had a gallon of this from House of Kolors. Orig it was a high dollar gallon of paint and the paint store sold to us for $20. No brainer.
Tires size are 20s all around and if can remember 295/40 rear and 255/40 front. Rear rubbed a little and had to roll the fenders to clear them. |

Ooops. Picture is w/ 18s. Believe rear is still 295/40 but don't remember the fronts. Switched to larger wheels shortly after picture was taken.

Looks good, & I dig the color & stance as well. Did you get a new windshield yet? Any pics with the new wheels? What happened to the old wheels?
Btw, in January I drove up to the Mechanicsville area & bought my Tahoe.
