Yup I did and the truck is covered but I withdrew from it due to aggravation and them not working with a realistic schedule to look at the truck so I said screw you my truck is not sitting for a week for you to look at it:/.Ps...it's in repair

Make sure you have the plastic on the striker..If not a piece of pex tubing will stop your slamming forever.

Post Re: I bent my DOOR! Won't close now.

I think we all have stories like that!! My other vehicle is a Dodge Dakota 4dr stick shift and I thought I would be good dad and let my 10 yr old daughter start the truck while I was in back seat w/ door open changin shoes. I gave her perfect instructions on how to start but forgot to tell her to put the clutch in first and truck was in reverse gear while turned off, truck lurched backwards and pulled the door and bent on light pole. Had to drive 30 miles home w/ the door open and held in place w/ motorcycle straps to keep from swingin out on the freeway. OHH the looks we got and for UNK reasons people kept drivin past motioning to us that door was open......DUH!!

I gave the gas pedal about a good push to get the truck to roll back out of this parking spot and the edge of the door took the whole weight of the truck easily at like 1 or 2 mph i suppose. The door then flung open like a flip knife so fast and by the time i had a notion of what had happened the truck was resting on the middle of the open door trying to pry it off at almost stand still.I had a really hard time to get the door to snap back only to be open like the photo.I drive it on the highway in the cold hehe.My door is fixed now and better then new it cost 430$ to repair
