1965 C10 283 c.i. Power Glide
OK, first want to introduce myself to this forum. I have recently accepted, as a gift, my grandfathers 1965 C10 Chevy Pickup. Problem? I was unassembled! No, really! I am one part away from completing the assembly. That is where I need help. On the powerglide transmission there is a linkage connection that I can best discribe as a ball and joint. I have the linkage but for the life of me I can't determine how/where this linkage goes. This in not the main linkage from the steering column to the shift lever. It appears to be a secondary linkage (again with ball and joint) that bolts somewhere with two bolts. Can't be far from the transmission because the linkage is not too long. Can someone help me?

Sure enough. Problem? Where on the carb does that connect. I assume that this is an activation for power down shift upon heavy acceleration.

Here on mine but there should be a spot on the 4 barrel linkage on yours, and yes it is the kickdown linkage.

Stock linkage broke, replacing modified linkage.

Re: 1965 C10 283 c.i. Power Glide
i noticed a brass fitting on your carb, and a fitting that attaches to the threaded spot on the back of the intake, my question is what connects to them?

Re: 1965 C10 283 c.i. Power Glide
The big one is for the PCV line which attaches to the block where the old draft tube went and the small one is the vacuum line from the transmission.
