Aftermarkert hood hinges
Hi all, has anyone here tried the OE style aftermarket hood hinges? Need some feed back please. Recently tried 3 different sets of the oem hinges I have saved over the years and everyone of them is wore out at the bushings. I am now being held up on my restoration since I am unable to align my front sheet metal because of this. Thanks in advance. John

Can't tell you anything about aftermarket but my 4x4 has a set of NOS hinges and springs and you actually have to hold the hood back when you pop it or it will literally fly up. Look for a set and go that route, makes you realize how weak 40 year old springs really are.

You need to look into Wilson Antique Car Parts. He rebuilds hood hinges and does a top notch job. He did mine and I couldn't be any more please. I fought the same battle your fighting with my hood hinges and I ended up sending them in to get rebuilt. www.hoodhingerepair.com
