AM/FM radio
This is a very nice example of a working AM/FM truck radio.
I bought it from member w314speed with the intentions of putting it in my 72. My priorities have changed and I need to sell this radio. Here is a link to the original post for the radio. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=600518 I added a new aftermarket slide bar and did some clean up on it. I will let it go for $400.00 plus shipping which should not exceed $20.00. I have also bench tested this radio and it sounds and functions excellent. Included in the purchase price are, power connector, antenna (no mast), red wire from fuse panel and all the required brackets for installation. Thank you for looking, Tom

I am inyerested but stretching myself pretty thin with a deal to ship some 72 bucket seatsand console pending until i get a shipping quote back tomorrow.
Is there anything you might be intersted in swapping, partial /whole? I have a factory heater delete set up on its way to me as we speak, among othe things. You can check my other threads if interested. |

Re: AM/FM radio
Where does the antennae plug in? I got anxious and already have my radio in the dash but forgot to look before i did so! I was trying to be optimistic that it works! Is it right above the power and speaker connector?

Re: AM/FM radio
Update on radio: it was damaged in shipping but Tbone took care of me. He found replacement knobs, bought them and had them sent to me. He Found someone to check the radio. I sent it off and he reimbursed me the shipping cost. We found out today it was not salvageable so he sent me a full refund.
I wanted to thank Tom for taking care of this and let everyone know he did the right thing. |

Re: AM/FM radio
Thank you Steve,
There was only one thing to do. I was hoping for a better outcome for everyone but at the end of the day, it was the only right thing to do. I appreciate your patients and understanding. Lessons learned here. Take the time to pack correctly and buy insurance. USPS did not handle this package well and I will never use them again for anything that has more than $50.00 in value. I hope you will find a good working AM/FM radio. Take care and have a great holiday, Tom

Re: AM/FM radio
I want to chime in here and say I too made a purchase from Tom (TBone). It was a tach dash. He did a fantastic job packing and sealing the box. First rate w/ customer service.
Then I made another purchase from someone else. It was shipped USPS. It is now lost, and like the "Man on the MTA" it'll never return. Post Office could not help. I will have things insured IF I use them again.

That's a very stand up and honorable thing to do. Not many people like that left anymore.
