Steel wheel with poverty cap color advice needed

I got a set of 15x8 wheel vintiques series 62 steelies for Christmas. I have a set of 67 chevelle poverty caps on the way. I still have to decide what color to paint them. Narrowed down to cream silver or black. Any suggestions/ photos?

I'm leaning towards white or body color of the truck. But probably the cream...

Nice truck. Definitely not silver, doesn't go well with that color. Black would be too dark as well. Probably the cream or an off white would look the best. We have a great photoshop forum. Use a good side pic of the truck and they should be able to change the color so you can get a good idea what YOU will like I know the wheels aren't the same now, but switching the color of the rallies should give you a good idea

I think black doesnt give any detail as well. I am leaning toward cream myself.

The Plum and silver would match, just dont know if that is the color I want or not. My high school colors were maroon and grey.

I think the silver wheels look fine with the body color, just look at the rallys on it. As for the new steelies cream may be a good color contrast for it. It can always repaint them if you don't care for it.

The catch is the new wheels are powder coated grey primer. I am going to look into having them coated the final color. This brings up another conundrum. I can buy a powder gun from habor freight for leas than $60 and a used c list stove for $50-75 and do it myself for about what i would have pay to have it done, and have something useful afterwards.

Its not that easy to use the harbor freight gun and electric stove method on car wheels. I have done it before but its difficult to suspend the wheel. I ended up making a metal cone to suspend it by the hub bore but it was a tight fit.

I didn't even think to just do the front of the wheel. I did all 4 complete. Not a bad idea.

Re: Steel wheel with poverty cap color advice needed

Due to theft of packages from front porches this time of year, or W2 time as well as any other random time. I left a note in my community mailbox asking to pick up items at the post office if there was no large oversiaze box available. They left me a notice monday for the poverty caps to be picked up Tues. I get to the post office around 1pm to find that the closed at noon due to Christmas eve. Oh well i can wait til Thurs. No hurry.

They are completely powder coated now in "primer" (?) it has a smooth finish but grey like paint primer. I wish they would offer different colors. It would save a lot of trouble! I am even considering an almond colored appliance paint that i have a quart of.

I think that the silver or off-white will look best with the paint color.

Are these the cap's you bought. If so here they are on black wheels. I went with black because I wanted some contrast to the white truck.
