Third brake light ???
I have a 68 Chevy stepside, It has a cargo light, some say not til 69. Anyway I want to know if anyone has turn the cargo light to a Third brake light, Without just changing the bulb to red ?? Finding a red lens that fits would be neat, Not worried about the wiring.

Working on my truck today,I though about that very same thing.
For some reason my cargo light has never worked so why not make it a third Brake light |

Can you add a 3rd brake light with cargo light from a later model truck?

I bought a flexible red led strip from the local parts store that i plan to hot glue inside the housing and run a new wire from the brake switxh to power it. This way i will still have the cargo light as well.

My cargo lamp has GMC a GMC cut out in it and as a break lamp is just fine.
