Not all Lights are created equal
I am pulling the bed of my 68 LWB and was in the process of removing all of the lights and electric parts when I pulled off the side marker lights and found this:
I knew that they never worked, I just didn't know they were blanks. Good news is that I don't have to worry about hiding the wiring since the new bed doesn't have them. I guess that just shows to go you.... not all marker lights are created equal.

Re: Not all Lights are created equal
Back when I was a teenager living in NY, my dad asked me to bring his 68 in for an inspection sticker. I did. I was 17? and loved driving dad's 68 longbed. We went through all the checks, etc, but they said they couldn't pass the truck, side blinkers don't work.
I had to explain to them they were only reflectors, even pulled one off to show there was no place for a bulb.

Re: Not all Lights are created equal
I just figured that the bulbs were burned out. So..... I am guessing that the front ones are blanks also. Even more reason to do the delete mod along with the stake bed holes.

Re: Not all Lights are created equal
Yes, the 67's were the sexiest trucks... shaved clean of those nasty side markers!
