Rear Blocks on 72

Do you have to use special drop blocks on the back of a 1972 chevy or can you use normal full size truck blocks?

Thanks,
Ryan

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

if it's a coil truck you need to order or make your own since there is only one U-bolt per side. The U bolt runs over the axle, through the bock and the trailing-arm then bolts on the bottom. I've got a set of blocks that are a bit over 2" that i ran on my 72' with no problems...I dont need them, PM me if your interested.

Hey,

I tried pm'ing you but it said your inblox was full. I'm interested in the blocks. What do you want for them, and do you have U-bolts too?

Thanks,
Ryan

I cleaned out my PM box.
Heres a pic of the blocks. How does $20 plus shipping sound? Sorry no U-Bolts.

DJM sells a block kit with the U-bolts that I think retails for around $50 for 1.5" of drop with blocks. This is the cheapest one I've found anywhere, but I went ahead and had my own made. I had a machine shop create the U-bolts and had the aluminum cut at an aluminum shop.
