NP241 vs np205 length

Does anyone know the difference in length between an np205 and an np241 with a fixed rear yoke kit? Distance from front mating surface to end of the output shaft or to the u-joint centerline.

Re: NP241 vs np205 length

99% sure its 4" difference. i had a 400 205 in my truck and swapped it to a JB conversions sye 241. i reused my same driveshaft and just flipped my 56" springs around to get the wheelbase stretch.
56" springs are 4" offset center pins.

its 4 inches or very close. if im not mistaken the 205 is 12" from face and the 241 came to just over 16. i have had a few different combos and use the same driveshaft for a few. got lucky i guess.
