Re: 350 for torque/mileage

The single biggest thing you can do for mileage will have very little to do with your motor. If you want to fix mileage a gear swap is the highest impact thing you can do. If you still want to take the engine out put a torque cam in it. I have a 383 small block with an Edelbrock torque cam and a 3.08 gear in the truck. That combo works great with the turbo 400 trans.
