Pot joint
Anyone ever rebuilt or removed this joint from the uppershaft to the steering box? It is where the rag joint would go on a pickup truck. I am working on a 74 gmc 6500 w/manual box. Any info would be great as to where to get one or how to remove. Thanks

Re: Pot joint
Can you post a picture of the steering shaft?

Re: Pot joint
Its ok, I took it apart and crimped the flat parts of the joint to get rid of some of the slop. Packed with new greese and it feels great now. Probably in the future I will replace with a u joint. The pot joint is kind of a hokey set up. Joe
