In the trade these are called " FSM " and yes , they're available new or used , not expen$ive atall , $30 retail IIRC .

Most of the truck parts vendors have them in stock , HELM , INC printed them for GM and sill sells them along with the owner's booklet .

Amazon is also a good place to look , don't be afraid to offer $5 for the greasy dog - eared ones you'll see , the info doesn't go bad from use and most folks won't touch an old dirty book so they're harder to sell .

I just lucked into the illustrated truck parts catalog , now I have to find the other book with the part #'s in it .

Haynes is O.K. , never good as they're riddled with so many inacuracies they're often called " H.B.O.L. " :

Chilton too , is a bargain basement book but , the more info you have at your fingertips , the easier the job will go .
