If you live anywhere near Clements, California you might want to check out craigslist - Stockton - Garage/Yard Sale - Section for this ad: Huge Sale Just In Time For Christmas starts 12/18/2013 (HWY. 88 in Clements). In one photo is a Chevy Carryall with alot of stuff around it.

Re: CL - Nor Cal: 1964(?) Suburban in Yard Sale
so, located the yard sale today - home of a hoarder. the Suburban is a '61 and asking price is $2500. V8 engine was rebuilt but, never started. 3 speed on the column. told that it has A/C; interior clean, lots of parts go with it. interior full of boxes and stuff. do not know if they are truck parts or useless stuff see attached pictures. did not get the actual address but, located in the town of Clements on HWY 88 - 18500 block - at Anderson St. phone: 209-327-5798. if you are interested in buying, and not local, may be tough to sort out what is what in it, and getting it off the property for a shipping operation to pick up a non running project.

Been after that one for a while. a bit pricey, there's also a big dent on the roof right in the front where a big branch fell on it, busted windshield.

Yup ! It looks like its towards the front. Perhaps replacing the damaged area with a section from a Pick up of the same year ? Its got the 4 sliders, and the Clam-shells so it may be worth the extra work !

The hood isn't a 61 either.

I think its a 62 , cause the hood is in the same color as the rest of that burb ,
the front end has the torsions suspension not the one with coils and the motor mounts looks like it was a 6zylinder in it .

Re: CL - Nor Cal: 1964(?) Suburban in Yard Sale
Am I seeing one of those old van sunroofs (ouch!) cut into the roof?...If it has a title and minimal rust, $2500 might be fair(?)..... It is obviously pre-1963....I'd say it's a pretty good start!
The badging on the side of the hood can be looked up in the LMC catalog for a better idea of year.... I'm guessin 62 |
