I recently purchased a 1989 50k mile r3500 chevy truck
No rust and runs perfect...only issue has a stake bed on it
Will any dually box of that era fit?
Will post pics soon!
I want to put a bed on it but dont want to buy the wrong one!!!

You truck appears to be a 'cab & chassis' truck. This means it has the narrower rearend. You will have to install a rearend from a pickup bed truck to use a regular bed...

Re: 1989 R3500 help

You could just put a regular fleetside bed on. The rear outside tires will stick out a bit, up to you and your states laws to determine if thats ok.

Pictures courtesy of member DetroitDan, his truck is also a cab/chassis.
