1960 bed and cross sill/ bed support issue

bought a 1960 short bed fleetside project from a guy in pieces. Ive built a few of these trucks and have had to shim the bed, body and core support to obtain a straight body line but this 1960 is throwing me for a loop. I assembled the bed with the cross sills where they go according to LMC's catalog and it looks like im missing a frame stand off or some kind of spacer for the rear cross sill as its spaced about 2.5 inches off the frame. Am I missing something? All this pics ive found on the forum dont have the 60 style frame.

There are one or two (can't remember) on the stepsides that just mount under the wood and do not attach to the frame. It may be the same case with the fleetsides.

Re: 1960 bed and cross sill/ bed support issue

seems like the c notch pulled the back end of the frame down a little. To get the cab level with the bed id have to raise the cab 1/4 inch in the rear. Since there is all this work done to the suspension to lower the stance of the car, I am going to take out 1/2 inch from the front bed cross sill pedestal and then use some shims to bring it up level. The cab has new urethane body mounts and is measuring even to the floor on all 4 corners. Then after the front of the bed, cab and nose line up ill figure out what to do with the rear c notch portion. Im thinking slice it on the bottom side, get it to move where everything sitts level and square and then redo the notch.

you can see how many washers we stacked to get the body lines to line up with the cab
