These trucks are tough

I knew older trucks were tough but my 72 c20 continues to shock me I hit a deer and all it did was bend my grill shell and bust the plastic and I lost a headlight but then yesterday I spun out on black ice and hit an embankment so hard the toolbox broke loose and knocked my tailgate open after 3 more accidents in the same spot I got it pulled out knocked the mud from my wheels and drove home only damage I can see is my rear quarter has a dent but when it warms up I think I can knock it out. But will any of you who believe please pray for a poor girl who stopped to check on me and her car was hit and it hit her and threw her about 20 ft thank you

Wow! How is the girl doing? A truck can be fixed but I feel badly for that girl who stopped to help.

She's on the list, hope she's ok. She must be good people, she stopped to help and that's getting rare

Re: These trucks are tough

I haven't been able to find out how she's doing, in all the excitement I didn't even hear her name, but when she was taken away she was responsive and she said she could move her fingers and toes. I'm hoping it was just a few bruises and cuts, but I'm still trying to track her down this town isn't that big.

I'd move Heaven and Earth to find her. Check the hosptials, be courteous, see if they'll forward a message from you to her.

I'd say these trucks are tough....although I can't really speak from my experience, but the metal alone was much thicker then and these trucks were meant for WORK, not as a "car that sits up high and can carry stuff on occasion."

Re: These trucks are tough

No doubt I would do my best to see if she was in a local hospital. Try going to the ambulance service for where they took her. Maybe they have word if she was released or the extent of her injuries. Even bring some flowers if you can find her. So hard to get someone to stop and even call 911 for help now days. She deserves something for showing compassion for your welfare. Truck sheet metal and repairs are not near as important as what she maybe going through.

I'm glad she was responsive. Will continue to pray for her. Please let us know if you find out anything about her condition.

Glad you're okay! Been some nasty weather lately.

Will keep her in my thoughts. Glad to hear you are okay. Where abouts in Louisville are you? I live in the Highlands.
