Go to the nearest Chapters/Indigo bookstore or whatever you have for big box book stores. There's a couple really good books on the history of GM trucks. I can try and find the names later when I get home. I got them 15 years ago and they were the best books to ready for somebody learning about the classics.

Those are good links posted above.

Here is the link to the GM Heritage center, and archives:

http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/

http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-h...ive/index.html

This may not be what you are looking for in terms of history and background but clicking on an individual model year will give you an idea of the scope of the program(s) and the various option content available, from a GM source.

Re: I need some help!

Here's a link to a thread about Harry Bentley Bradley, the guy who designed these trucks.

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=442296

There are some scans of an article attached, so make sure to open each one.

Another thread:

And a link to GM Designers; Harry Bradley is a couple entries down from the top:

Re: I need some help!

I didn't go through each article but wasn't Harry a part of, or worked for Mattel at some point designing Hot Wheels? I thought that was kinda cool but I dont know the full story and detail on it. It might be good information for your research paper.
