Info needed on rear end code

Just spoke to a guy selling a complete rearend. It's supposed to be a posi 3.73 from a 72 or possibly a 71. I asked for the code and he gave me this #; KBU WO16 IF.
I looked, but couldn't find this code on any links I had saved from this site. He was an older gentleman and maybe his eyes deceived him, I know they can be hard to read sometimes.
It's a one and a half hour drive to his place, so I would like to have the info if possible before I go see it.
Thanks guys.

I don't see anything like that on the '70, '71, or '72 charts and they are the only years of our trucks that use the three letters.

Are there any codes that begin with "K" from our years? I'm wondering if he just didn't make it out correctly.

I don't suppose there is any way he can send you some pictures. If it is a posi it would have originally had a tag on the on the fill plug. May not be there any more though.

"USE POSITRACTION DIFF LUBRICANT ONLY" or something to that effect. It would be Red plastic and be attached to the drain plug.
