1965 Chevy door window issues....
Does anyone know where to see some pictures or diagrams on how to remove the interior of door so I can repair a window issue? My window will not roll all the way up. I also need to replace some worn felt, and repair the vent window. Just wasn't sure where to start or how to remove everything properly without creating more work.

Re: 1965 Chevy door window issues....
This one is up in the FAQ section now with another good one that I read before doing my install.
See post 9 in the link for and update on the quality of the LMC parts I ordered. I'd rate them marginally acceptable. Prolly worth some more investigation of quality and longevity before you order the parts. I'm not happy with the oversize fit of the vent window rubber nor the fact that felts leave tar stains on the glass with each trip up and down. The window channel felt and the vertical division channel are holding up perfect. Perhaps Lynn Steele or another supplier? Don't know since I'd suspect much of the aftermarket auto trim is comeing from one or two Chinese makers and being distributed under many Brands by vendors across the country...i.e. might not be much in the way of choice where quality is concerned. In any event, the LMC stuff is not as good for longevity and fit on my truck as factory but good enough that I don't expect to do the job again for several years. Luck.... PS...gettin the door glass in and out is a damn wiggle festival. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=599586 |

Re: 1965 Chevy door window issues....
Ill second what Sharps40 said, I didnt find it all that difficult but it is sort of time consuming none the less. Go slow and treat each screw with WD or some kind of penetrating oil several times a day for a few days before you tackle the project, you want everything to come out nice and clean. I also have a round suction cup ( I think it is actually for floor tiles) that I attach to the glass and then it wont fall on me.
Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I'm trying to get up enough nerve to knock this out. Just don't want to make it worse than it already is.....

If you were closer I would help if you provided the beers...It really isnt that hard but I do understand not doing it before could be a little intimidating.
Provide some pictures or a video of what your looking at, then maybe we all can lend a hand.
