Re: '69 Grille On '72 ?
I THINK all you'll need is the complete grille and 71/72 center support (the one the hood latch is attached to). Core support is the same. Perhaps someone else can verify.

I believe that it is the same mount. I know that the hood is the same. I believe ask you need is the inner and outer grill

Re: '69 Grille On '72 ?
LMC catalog links. These should help determine what's needed. For example:
69/70 grille support (#8): http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=73 71/72 grille support (#7): http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cb/full.aspx?Page=74 Looks like the hood latches are different also. Surprises me. http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/CB/full.aspx?page=22 Last edited by FirstOwner69; 01-10-2014 at 11:09 PM. |

Re: '69 Grille On '72 ?
The grills are interchangeable, pretty simple to change out.

Re: '69 Grille On '72 ?
To make it look right you need to change the 72 bumper and brackets for 67-70 ones, unless you want two sets of turn signals. Btw i have both for $100 shipped.

Re: '69 Grille On '72 ?
All you need to do to swap a 69-70 grill into a 71-72 or vice versa is the grill and corresponding center bracket. Core supports are the same. 67-70 bumpers do not have turn signal holes. 71-72 bumpers do. 67-70 bumper brackets are the same, but different than 71/72.
I swapped a 71/72 grill and bumper onto a 70 that was wrecked. Not only because i like the look better, but i already had the parts. |
