Bumper accessory

Has anyone ever seen this bumper guard? I've owned this truck 20 years and I haven't seen another one like it. Don't know if it is GM or aftermarket.

Re: Bumper accessory

I'm thinking that that to top piece was originally part of a bar that ran across to the other upright. It may have been aftermarket that some dealers sold or from somewhere like JC Whitney. It may have come off some car too either front or rear.ump

This is the bumper guard I am used to seeing on those trucks.

48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six.
71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: Bumper accessory

My wife bought me the re-pops of the OEM style front bumper guards. I do like the way they look on my pickup.

Re: Bumper accessory

Its a car option, if it was a factory truck option the guards would be in normal spots

Here's the 48 one. This is on a pickup at the wife's family ranch. I've been told I get the truck, but until its sitting in my drive and I have the title it's not mine. they call it the fencing truck(it holds all the fencing tools and supplies.
Anyway always wondered about that front bumper accessory.
