Notice how the wood covers the place for the radio and heater controls? Also the column looks to be of the larger diameter kind than what one usually puts in there. Pretty nice looking truck I am not bashing on it.

I wonder if a PO cut the dash and this was the easiest way to fix it without any welding. Looks like maybe a cubby hole in it. The guy is obviously a woodworker and a pretty good one at that. I would drive that in a heartbeat. LockDoc
