Re: Family Bet
Seems any "barn fresh" ride gets it's share of looks nowadays. Personally, I've seen enough mild customs and restored cars that only the super innovative or totally correct ones grab me. There is one thing though that separates a nice barn find from just another pile, and that is the "unmolested" factor. If at a glance I see a repaint inside or out, wrong wheels, wrong seat, chromed cowl extensions, etc., I just keep walking.
I say put the factory wheels and caps back on your truck, and you have a chance. |

Re: Family Bet
I've owned them both, classic Chevy trucks and 1st Gen Camaros. The 1969 (to me) is the best of the breed, and even though some folks think that they're over-played, there aren't many cars or trucks that will draw a crowd like a nice 1st Gen Camaro. I owned a '69 Z/28 back in the '80s, and even back then, it was super popular. It was yellow and loud, and the chicks loved that car.
Nothing against your truck, Mater, but I think Dad wins this bet. But in the end, your truck is still your favorite, and that's all that matters!
