Re: 67 GMC shop truck
You can go with 15 X 8" 4X4 rims and the have best of both worlds.

Re: 67 GMC shop truck
Most 67 GMC's never had a SPID. None of three I've had ever had one.

Very cool truck you have there. That's an interesting blue/green? color. Definitely haven't seen too many in that color.

Re: 67 GMC shop truck
After a lot of thought I'm going to try something with the set of wheels and tires I have on it. Just need to find a set of GMC Poverty caps. Ill shoot some pictures of the interior this weekend.
If there is no SPID then where is the paint code located? I've been all over the truck and only see the VIN tag. |

Re: 67 GMC shop truck
It looks to me like it could be "Terrace Blue." That's the only 1967 GMC color that's even close.

Re: 67 GMC shop truck
I would have to agree with you on the color. but when the light hits it correct it almost looks like a darker green.
Just got off the phone with the sign painter. He will be coming out to the Vista Burger Run to paint the doors. this is a 3 year dream all coming together. |

You could always do bags, with or without the wide whites

Re: 67 GMC shop truck
Finally got the suspension done. Spring under in there rear and cut the springs up front. Not the way I wanted to do it. But it was cheap and I could do it all myself. It actually rides pretty darn good. And I'm pretty happy with how the stock wheel covers cleaned up.

Re: 67 GMC shop truck
It's a rally wheel with the stock wheel cover. I put it on just to see if it would work. When it did I polished them up and put them on one side. I really liked it.

Re: 67 GMC shop truck
Today was a good day. Woke up to amazing Southern California weather. Decided to polish this old turd up and see if she could shine. A can of red rubbing compound, 1 bottle of cleaner wax, 2 buffer bads and 5 hours later it didn't turn out so bad.
Then I took it out for its true maiden voyage after the suspension was done, shifter was adjusted and blah blah. |

I'm nervous! The sign painter is at the truck right now doing the doors. I just let him do his thing. Hoping for the best.
