Dash speaker size??
What size speakers or speaker can replace or fit in the dash on a 68' with the original radio & A/C? I was able to find one post where some guys have custom fitted two 4" shallow speakers in the dash. I was wanting to know if a 5x7 or two 6 1/2" speakers can fit in there? The ones I have are not shallow, just regular aftermarket speakers. Isn't the original size speaker a 4x10?

Re: Dash speaker size??
Be sure you use the correct ohm rating with a factory radio. Believe it's 8-10 ohm. I bought a new upgraded speaker from these guys http://www.turnswitch.com/speakers.htm
You want the 4" X 10" Delco special rectangle. Sound is better than the original and won't mess up your radio. |

Re: Dash speaker size??
Do a Google search on dual voice coil speakers, sterio sound one speaker.
Lots of threads here too.
