Door/Rocker Panel Issue
Was moving along good on 72 GMC build until today. I am having problems installing the outer rocker as far as lower door gap. I have no clearance between the door and the rocker panel. I have tried all of the hinge adjustments. The rest of the door gaps look great. Any ideas ?? The door does close fine without the outer rocker in place.

Re: Door/Rocker Panel Issue
Can you move the bottom of the rocker in a little? That will lower the top at the door gap but not at the pinch weld.

Re: Door/Rocker Panel Issue
I will try to post some pics tommorow. I have not tacked the rocker in yet, just trying to fit. I have made a few "adjustments" to make it sit in position better.

Re: Door/Rocker Panel Issue
I started doing body work at a GMC dealer in 1974. Living in New England I have put a few of those rockers on over the years. Now the guy that first hired me brings his car to me for repairs. That's a good feeling

Re: Door/Rocker Panel Issue
I guess I was a little timid of pulling down on the rocker. Not anymore !!

I have a welder, body hammers and grinders, no fear, beat and bend away.

Re: Door/Rocker Panel Issue
I have been finding out that all of the patch panels I have, have taken a little tweaking to make fit. Outer floor patch, front floor patch, kick panel, front and rear pillars.
