6 LUG STOCK 16" wheels ????

Has anyone tried using larger diameter older chevy rims on their trucks?? I know that 16" and even 17.5' rims were sold for c/10 and k 10 trucks in the 50's and 1960's. My brother ran some on his 1968 about 25 years ago but i don't know how wide they were or what vintage the rims were from. any help would be appreciated. I am especially curious wht size and width the wheels would have come in from G M Thanks erik

Bring that pretty truck down to Harrison, AR May 17th. We are going to have drawings for $5,000 at the Crawdad Days Car Show. You might as well try to win some of it.

I first bought 15"x6" steel wheels for disc brakes that I searched for a year and I thought I would go ahead and use them if I couldn't find the 16' s. I have searched craigslist every night and I found a new posting late one Saturday night and the next morning I went to Rogers Arkansas to get them. Now I got a set of 15" taking up space.

Hey davischevy I 'm not really the type entering the shows but I like going to them, to see all the nice vehicles. We will see if I trust it driving that far by then. It only an hour and half to Harrison from my place. Its licensed and insured right now but it hasn't left the yard.

A friend of mine will be coming down from Lockwood. I'll have him watch out for you. You can't win the money if you don't enter. I think The $1,000 check went to Missouri last year.
