Re: 1969-1972 used gauge cluster

How much would it be to restore one I send you? It's from a 71 truck, so it has full gauges, except the tach.

I will send you a PM with details on your request.

Thank you,

If you look at my other post, it will have details about the work done. If you send me yours, I can restore it and ship it back to you for $120.00. Or I send you one that I build from inventory for $160.00.

Additions to the price:
Reset the odometer and calibrate is $60.00 extra.
LED bulbs for illumination are $20.00 more.

I currently have a back log of work through the middle of March.

Thank you for your interest. You can PM me or email me at tbonegarris@yahoo.com. please reference your user name on the board so I don't confuse you with someone else.

Take care,
Tom

I can sell you LED's in a pack of 10. These are Jtech 194 168 2825 T10 5-SMD White LED Car Lights Bulb. I can sell them to you for $15.00 shipped. I will tell you that these are not the brightest LED's you can get. I carry these for my gauge clusters and have found that they are just right as far as brightness. Another note, these LED's do not dim with the dimmer switch.

Do you have a tach in your dash now? As far as a tach, I currently have several good used GM tachs I can sell. For a decent looking working GM tach, $100.00. If you want one restored with a very nice restored face and a glass beaded and painted tin, I charge $160.00.

Shipping on a tach will be around $12.00 insured for the value.

I can also get you a new aftermarket tach for around $110.00.

Let me know and I will help you.
Thank you,
Tom

Not a problem Lyn,

I will get some photos posted up for you tomorrow.

As far as the aftermarket one goes, i don't have one in my inventory currently but do have some on order. They look like most of the aftermarket tachs that are out there.

Thank you,
Tom

Re: 1969-1972 used gauge cluster

Thanks Tom, I'd like to stay with something that matches my other factory gauges in my 72. I want to just add it to my cluster that didn't come with a tach.

Thanks,
Lyn

Lyn,

Here are photos of the tachs. The first two have had reface decals applied. Not 100% original but they look better than they did. The next two are 100% factory original tachs but have some fading and rust beginning to form on the face. It is hard to see in the photos. The other two photos show the back sides of all 4 in order with the first photos of the faces. All of these tachs work great and just need restored to be 100%.

One word of advise for you. If you want to add a tach, it requires much more than just a tach. The tin work is different, the circuit board and the lens are also different. You also will need a separate wiring harness to make the tach work.

Here are two options for you to think about if you want to add a tach.

Option 1 is a tach cluster build using all after market parts with the exception of the basic gauges which will be good used GM gauges. This package will be ready to install and will come with a wiring harness for $520.00 plus shipping.

Option 2 is a tach cluster build using all GM parts. The tins, and tach and all the basic gauges will all be good used GM tested gauges. The lens and circuit board are NOS GM. The only aftermarket part is the gauge bezel and the wiring harness. This package comes ready to install and is $620.00.

Other options on both are odometer reset to mileage of your choice and calibrated for $60.00 extra.

LED lights for illumination are $20.00 extra

Shipping on these clusters is about $18.00 via Fed-Ex and are insured.

Let me know and I can get you set up. I wish adding a tach was a simple as just adding it to an existing cluster but it does require the additional parts.

Thank you,
Tom
