wedge wheels

Is it possible to put a one piece rim on a wedge wheel setup? I have a 74 gmc 6500 with the dreaded 2 piece rims. Would like to find one piece rims for this setup or my only other option is to change all of the hubs for a bud wheel? Thanks

Re: wedge wheels

yes daytons rims do come as one peice. Cargo trailers have these most of the time and you can buy the one peice rims. They are 22.5 rims.

Re: wedge wheels

A 22.5 rim will fit on my wedge hubs? My rims now are 20.

Re: wedge wheels

Firels------Your just talking about the difference between tubeless and tube type tires. The Dayton rims interchange on the same hub, and tubeless can be run alongside tube type . Only if one is radial and other is bias is the only concer, it's a No No ! You should be able to find tubless rims for 10-20 bucks each used, or 60-75 bucks new . Think of a yard that parts out school busses .
