Hi-4 headlight mod

Anybody ever done the Hi-4 headlight mod? where the low beams are enabled to stay on with the high beams? Is it worth it and how did you do it, kit, or home-brew mod?

Re: Hi-4 headlight mod

You can do it by getting a relay wired into the bright lights on the engagement side ( low amp side ) low beams on the high amp. side of the relay ?// I used a horn relay any heavy duty 4 terminal ( 2 low, 5-10 amp, 2 high 25-30amp. ) relay will do ??/ This will activate the low beams the same time you are using the high beams??/

great mod to have. gives you great light when using high beams. I had this mod on my 89 and I am going to do it on my 97 soon.

Re: Hi-4 headlight mod

I can't believe you posted this thread. That has always aggravated me since I got my 89. I have been meaning to do this soon as I finished all my problems with actually getting both it and the 91 running right. Thanks for the tip too mountie, I will go see if I can get a harness too.

Being the country boy I am, I was going to run a toggle switch and wires to the low beam and back to the dash inside and cowboy it in there, but since you guys posted about the different power ratings, it might not have been such a keen idea I had.

I just did mine today! I've had it for six months I had just never gotten around to it. Looks awesome, can't wait to see it tonight!
