68 c10 with 350sbc swapped, clutch?
My grandpa gave me his 68 c10 about 2 yrs ago. When he gave me the truck the clutch was slipping. Recently my daily driver took a crap on me so the c10 has became my daily driver. About 35 yrs ago my dad swapped the inline 6 for 350sbc. It has a 3 on the tree manuel. What clutch do I order? And if the flywheel is bad which flywheel do I order? I'm asking here bc my dad did the swap but he pasted away about 6 yrs ago

You'll have to remove it and measure the clutch size. The flywheels interchange between most six cylinder engines and 350s. The V8 used a larger clutch and flywheel than sixes did. So, without measuring, you don't know if he used the original six cylinder flywheel and clutch on the 350 or whether the 350 had a flywheel and clutch that he used.

So if I wanted to buy a new clutch and flywheel I could go to advance auto and buy both for a c10 that had a 350? And yes it was factory 3 on the tree.

IF you change flywheel sizes (# of teeth) you may have to replace the starter as well. If you are not going high performance, something like this will work fine: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/zz...make/chevrolet http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ra...make/chevrolet
