Re: 58 cab step treatments?

i liked the body color steps on truk and covered the steps with 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Film
the film is 8 mil clear and goes on like window tint. spray with water, apply film and squeegee out the water.
most new cars have a similar film at rock chip prone areas; behind wheel wells

we have a guy that does the film on our sema cars, he volunteered his time and materials to apply it
he does mostly high end cars, sometimes cover the whole body of a car.
he covered my steps with his scraps

i'm a bit of a gimp and place my foot on the step to get in and out
4 years and no scratches of scuff marks in the film or paint
you can 3m paint protection film on ebay

this is 3 years of driving

Ogre, does that film cover the whole step or just the ridges? I like the idea of keeping the color like you, instead of black.
