carrier bearing
Has anybody used the Billet Carrier bearing availabe from Brothers, it looks strong,
but I have seen where the urethane has cracked and not lasted in other suspension parts.

Re: carrier bearing
Its a great way to spend $250 fixing a $80 problem.
A factory style carrier bearing on a properly ballanced driveshaft can last 40 years. |

Re: carrier bearing
I just installed a flexplate on my 72 lwb. While I had the old girl up jack stands I could clearly see the $12 dollar factory carrier bearing I installed 4 years ago was still tight and shiny new looking! Only the bolts had rusted...

Re: carrier bearing
If yours needs to be replaced I recomend just taking it to a driveline shop. They know the other wonky issues with these 2 piece drivelines and it will need to be reballanced even if the only thing changed was the carrier bearing.
