lopsided stance?
I noticed after I replaced the springs and supports that my truck seemed to be a little lopsided, but I just got around to measuring it tonight. It's sitting about 5/8" lower on the driver side, both front & back as measured at the top of the wheel wells. I replaced the springs with 1/3 drop coils from Chassis tech, new cab supports, new radiator support mounts, new ball joints and upper A arm bushings. The radiator support has a little bend in it that might be contributing to the problem, but I don't think that it's the only culprit. I've also changed over the bed cross sills to used ones from a wood bed.
Do you all think that I just need to start shimming, or are the spings not propperly seated or what?

did you put the parts on, leave the bolts slightly loose, then torque them after it was on the ground with weight on it?

Uh, I don't think so. It's been a while since I put all this stuff together. Do you mean the suspension parts? They were pretty much torqued up when it came off the jack.

woops, yeah i ment the suspinsion stuff
its supposed to be tightened most of the way in the air, put on the ground with the trucks full weight on it, then torqued down completly dont ask me what, but there is something that makes it sit lopsided if you torque it in air (cant remember--thats why i said dont ask me )

are you sure it is on level ground?...
I just finished putting 3" lowering coils and ball joints in the front of mine. I measured before and had 31.25" driver side and 30 .75" passenger. after i finished, I backed up the truck in the drviveway and had 28.25 on both sides. thought my original coils were off but when I pulled it back into the place I did the original measurement...it was still lopsided. I dont think 1/2 inch is visable to the eye.

It's setting in the garage on a concrete floor and if you look at it from the rear (say about twenty feet away) it definately looks cockeyed. Like I said, it's about 5/8 inches lower on the driver's side, so I can only assume that it'll be worse when it gets a 180 pounder (me) behind the wheel.
Exactly what suspension parts need to be torqued with it on the ground? Maybe I'm just being dense, but I've looked at this thing quite a bit and I can't see what could be binding up that would make it sit lopsided in both the front and the back by the same amount. Maybe this is a dumb question, but could it just be that since nobody has set in the passenger side since I changed the springs that they haven't settled as much as the driver's side yet?
