1972 chevcummins
just bought 1972 pickup with 1994 12 valve in he frame rails just wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for wiring up the alternator into the original harness.

Ford used Nippondenso alternators on bigger trucks in the 70's with their normal regulators. When stuffing a Cummins in Ford, this makes the charging system very easy to hook up.

That's good info. But if you use the alternator from a dodge cummins it is a bolt on unit and you only have to wire an external regulator and you're good to go.
