68 short bed stepside

Hello from Elkton Md i just bought a nice 68 GMC 2wd 250 6 cyl 3 speed manual leaf spring rear truck.Came with a 71 402 and lots of new parts .I am torn between going 4wd and leaving it 2wd and making a hot rod.Do you think i could make it 4wd and get it low enough to look good?Even thought about doing an awd set up full time .Could really make one hook up that way.Just looking for ideas and appreciate any input .I am going to drive it as is for a while and have a offenhauser 4 barrel intake for the 250 have any of you ran one and what size carb did you use?Thanks Oz
