I was admiring that engine bay too.

Someone here once said (I forget who) "Doing it up stock is easy"

That statement made me cringe just a little

My engine took many hours of cleaning/detailing. I didn't even get the wheel wells, core support or firewall done up completely. (Lack of $$$ and time)

I attribute that quote by the unnamed individual to youthful exuberance and an attempt to push my buttons. I think that individual and I are beyond that and have come to some sort of mutual "truce". Either that or I'm on that person's "ignore" list

BTW Kyle, thanks for the pic and keeping me in your thoughts. Have a happy holiday!

FYI, my engine pales in comparison to that and Toms. I put in an HEI and Edelbrock Performa carb

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to notice. My alt. bracket was orange before I took everything apart so that's the way I did it back up. I'm pretty convinced that's the way it was was from the factory. We had a big discussion about that here a few months ago. It seems the vast majority of them were flat black through the years but a few folks have seen them orange.
