I'm an idiot...

I clearly shouldn't order parts based on memory - someone's going to get a hell of a deal on this one.

Re: I'm an idiot...

Just build a Z adapter. Bolt on trans, jog back a couple inches, bolt on stick. It will work perfect.

Wink Re: I'm an idiot...

It's amazing how much some shifters will bend. I bent a stock GM shifter for a 4-speed Muncie to work nicely in my '55 Chevy cp with original bench seat. A lab tech in college assured me it would "take it", and proceeded to do it on a hydraulic press. I held my breath, needlessly, while it underwent its face-drop!

Re: I'm an idiot...

leave the the top bolt in, pull the shifter back until the lower bolt hole of the shifter is just in front of the trans stub, then use two bolts and two pieces of flat with holes drilled in them to join the lower hole in the stub to the lower hole in the shifter. should pull it towards the seat enough and wont cost a million bucks.

That's funny!

But seriously. just modify it to make it work for you and if not have the tools to do so you can take it to someone. Good luck.

Picked this up a few years ago. Always wondered why it looked like it had been heated up. Going up on the classifieds board if anyone can use it.
