1970 k10 Manual Transmission Wiring question
What are the three wires that attach to the 4-speed manual transmission on my 1970 K10 Pickup? Two of them seem to go to nowhere in the engine compartment. Thank you!

Back-up light sensor as I recall.

That and/or a neutral safety switch?

No. The neutral safety switch lives behind the clutch pedal on manual transmissions.

Re: 1970 k10 Manual Transmission Wiring question
Likely they are for the transmission controlled spark valve. My dad's 70 had one.
The valve wouldn't allow vacuum advance to the dist. until the trans was in 4 th gear. All the best, Dirk |
