72 chevy c10 frame off restoration

I decided to start this project after working at a local body shop as an after school job. I always loved working on vehicles with my dad and grandpa growing up so I have the mechanicle knowledge to do a lot of the things that need to be done but not a whole lot of experience with doing body work. So I was happy when I started working at the body shop. I have learnt a lot since I started there and I am now confident in starting a project of my own.

I actually got the inspiration to start this project because last year for shop class I decided to rebuild an old smallblock chevy I pulled out of a truck in my grandpas junkyard. After I rebuilt it I thought of selling it but ended up thinking to myself...humm I wish I had something to put it in. Then I remembered an old chevy frame buried in the tall grass of my grandpas junkyard. So I asked him if he was going to use it and he said no, so I asked if I could have it. He ended up helping me haul it home where it sat for most of the summer. Towards the end of the summer I started tearing into it. Starting with the old rotten brake lines and hoses. Then it was September and I had to go back to school.

Then I needed a project for this semester of shop class, I asked if I could bring it in and he said yes. After I hauled it in to my highschool I started doing the minor things to the frame like straightening it out is spots as well as welding up some holes and cracks here and there. After that I took it to work around october to sandblast it. After blasting it I rolled it into the paint booth and primed and painted it.

After hauling it back to town I got it back to school and started working on taking the diferential apart and working on brakes. Got all new rotors, pads, drums and shoes. Ordered a stainless steel brake line kit from LMC truck and put that in. And that's about as far as I got so far.

Ran out of time to work on it at school. So I hauled it back home. Now I just have to wait for a couple more months until the snow melts.
